Theron Bowers

He recently dedicated his architectural work to Marjara LLC in the United States, developing an approach that is both unconventional and sensitive, particularly in the way it integrates vegetation, materials, and patterns of use. His designs give equal attention to people and to the animals who share their spaces, ensuring a nuanced yet coherent living environment His property in Saint-Barths — marked by mature gaïac trees and natural rock formations — has further shaped his approach, informing the strategies he now refines for Marjara SBH.

Marjara

Marjara SBH, founded in Saint-Barths, promotes a way of being that respects every form of life — not control or exploitation, but cohabitation. With a blend of ethics, elegance, and bold, cool innovation, we create environments of balance and pleasure. Protecting life is not an act of pity — it’s an act of intelligence.

Our Principles

  • Every Life Matters

We protect life for its own sake — not for utility or the image of a perfect environment.

A bird or a cat is saved simply because it lives.

  • Never Kill Because an Animal Is Inconvenient

We always find solutions — adoption, relocation, or sanctuary — proving that coexistence is possible without sacrifice.

  • Innovation

Our model creates new ways to coexist, combining design, intelligence, and caring to build sustainable harmony between species.

Our Approach

We work through a dual model:

(1) architectural creation that sustains our work, and

(2) direct animal care for those who need help immediately.

At the heart of our work is a simple idea: animal care should be beautiful, enriching, and integrated into daily life — not reduced to pity or control.
Recently launched, our initiative aims to grow in collaboration with local stakeholders, international guests, and the Collectivité.

1. Creation & Design — Marjara LLC

Our design work focuses on creating spaces where humans and animals can coexist with ease and beauty:

  • Cat Lounges

  • Bird Heights

  • Custom elegant shelters

  • Home, hotel, and villa adaptations

Available in both the United States and Saint-Barths.
We also create a small apparel line — T-shirts, bags, and limited pieces — with all profits supporting our animal-care work.
This creative side provides the long-term sustainability that allows the rescue side to exist.

2. Direct Animal Care — Every Day, Island-Wide

The second side is simple: we help any animal that needs us.

  • Emergency care.
Donations go directly to veterinarians for transparent, immediate treatment.
Our RIB is available on the Donation Page, and payments are made in the name of Marjara directly to the veterinary clinics.

  • No-refusal intake.
Cats, dogs, birds — we never turn an animal away.
Our members — whether living in traditional cases, working as saisonniers, or owning high-standing villas — welcome and support a remarkable number of animals, often caring for them with exceptional personal effort and dedication.

  • Public care.
For years, our members have quietly sterilized and cared for animals across the island.

  • Adoptions.
Local and international — including full travel preparation for visitors adopting from Saint-Barths.
